Climate change is an existential threat to our future, but Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are gutting environmental protections, rolling back climate standards and pulling funding from green energy projects. The health, safety, and future of New Yorkers are all at risk.
Mark Levine has a real record of climate leadership. As Borough President, he pushed for major investments in green infrastructure, and has led a five-borough campaign to plant a million more trees and expand our tree canopy in New York City. He has fought for congestion pricing, fully completing greenways across the city, and ensuring that Local Law 97 is properly implemented in ways that ensure we can successfully reduce our carbon footprint.
As Comptroller, Mark will champion investments in our planet and a more sustainable future by divesting city pension funds from fossil fuels, investing in renewable energy, auditing agencies that fail to meet climate goals, and exposing wasteful spending. He’ll demand that every public dollar advances environmental justice and protects frontline environmental justice communities.
