ROOTING OUT CORRUPTION
ROOTING OUT CORRUPTION
New Yorkers deserve a government that works for them—not for the well-connected or the highest bidder. But too often, corruption, cronyism, and mismanagement in city contracting and budgeting erode public trust and waste the tax dollars that should be serving our communities. From inflated no-bid contracts to backroom deals that leave working families behind, the system is too often stacked against us.
Mark Levine has spent his career fighting for transparency and fairness in city government. As Comptroller, Mark will lead the charge to root out waste and fraud—auditing agencies, investigating abuses, and rejecting contracts with bad actors. His agenda includes important reforms to procurement that will help ensure good contractors are paid on time, and bad actors are held accountable.
